SAI HLE Returns with “KHULA,” a Grown-Up Turn in Their Amapiano and Dance Sound

South African sister duo SAI HLE return with their highly anticipated new single, “KHULA,” out now on all digital platforms via the London-based label Platoon. Comprised of blood sisters Amahle Koom and Siphosethu Koom, the amapiano and dance music release follows their debut single “UBUMNND” and marks a more reflective second chapter for the fast-rising pair.

Where their debut leaned into pure joy, “KHULA” turns inward. The title is the Nguni word for grow, and the sisters repeat it through the song like an affirmation, a vow to keep becoming who they are. Written during a formative stretch by the ocean in Spain, KHULA channels the duo’s Germiston roots into a meditation on growth, built on their signature soulful harmonies. It rides an amapiano and dance groove with blends of afro house, soul and African pop, sitting between the dance floor and quiet reflection.

The single arrives on the back of a strong first chapter. SAI HLE performed “Koyika” with Sun-El Musician as part of Red Bull Symphonic 2026, and signed a global distribution partnership with the London-based label Platoon.

In a joint statement, Amahle and Siphosethu shared:KHULA is the honest part of us. Our first song was about joy. This one is about the work behind the joy, growing up, forgiving yourself, and choosing to carry on anyway. We wrote it far from home, by the sea, and it became a promise to ourselves.

SAI HLE are already working on their debut EP, due for release at the beginning of 2027. They also teasing the new single “BONI” alongside Sun-El Musician and Karyendasoul. Their community of fans, known as KINS, continues to grow with every release.
