

Apple Music Apple Music has released its latest Isgubhu DJ Mix, featuring an exclusive mix from Nigerian DJ and cultural tastemaker DJ Lambo, available exclusively on Apple Music from Friday, 1 May 2026.
Isgubhu continues to serve as Apple Music’s home for African dance music culture, spotlighting the producers, DJs and underground innovators shaping the continent’s club scenes. Each month, Isgubhu highlights the boundary-pushing sounds redefining Afrohouse, 3-step, gqom and electronic music across Africa.
Born Olawunmi Okerayi, DJ Lambo is one of Nigeria’s most influential female DJs, with over 15 years of experience across music, radio and live performance. Known for her seamless fusion of Afrobeats, Afro House, Afropop and Hip-Hop, she has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, supporting Burna Boy on his Love, Damini and I Told Them tours across venues including Madison Square Garden, London Stadium and the Hollywood Bowl. Her career spans from early days as a radio host in Abuja to becoming an award-winning DJ, entrepreneur and founder of 707 Worldwide, cementing her status as a key figure in Africa’s contemporary music ecosystem .
For her Isgubhu mix, DJ Lambo crafts a deeply immersive and emotionally resonant listening experience rooted in African rhythm and spirituality. “I wanted to do a mix that will evoke the feeling of joy within the listener while immersing them in a predominantly African, deeply spiritual groove,” she tells Apple Music. “The mix was carefully curated to create a meaningful sonic journey featuring tracks from some of my favourite artists and producers.”
Blending Afrohouse, Afrotech and electronic sounds, the mix moves fluidly between high-energy dancefloor moments and more introspective passages, reflecting the evolving nature of African electronic music. Featuring producers and artists including Shimza, Sun-EL Musician, Tems, DJ Lag and Dr Chaii, the selection highlights a scene defined by depth, innovation and global resonance.
Describing the overall intention, DJ Lambo adds: “African dance and electronic music is rooted in traditional, deep, soulful rhythms — the experience stays with the listener, constantly evolving. This mix is joy, curated in sound.”
