Lucasraps unveils Y.O.G, a project that reveals a deeper creative perspective – a voice that has been quietly forming beneath the surface of his music.

Y.O.G represents more than a new release. It introduces a clearer version of the artist himself:  a perspective shaped by growth, experience, and the process of his place within music and within his own journey.

“The direction of this project came from where I am in life right now,” he explains.  “I wanted the music to feel honest, confident, and a little playful at the same time.”

At the center of the project is the idea of Y.O.G itself – a creative perspective that exists within Lucasraps. It represents the part of the artist that emerges when the noise quiets and the focus becomes clear.

With Y.O.G, Lucasraps approaches his craft with a stronger sense of identity.  The songwriting, delivery, and overall direction of the project reflect an artist who has grown more certain about his voice and the lane he occupies.

“Before, I was still figuring out my identity as an artist,” he says. “With this project, I feel like I really understand my lane. The writing, the delivery, and the vision behind everything are much more focused.”

Collaboration plays a meaningful role throughout the project. Lucasraps worked with a number of artists and producers whose creative perspectives helped shape the sound of the music.

“Every collaboration brought a different energy to the songs,” he says. “It pushed me creatively and helped the music grow in ways it probably wouldn’t have if I made it alone.”

One of the most personal moments on the project arrives through the track “Rags To Riches.” The song reflects a defining chapter in Lucasraps’ journey and captures a moment of reflection within the broader narrative of the project.

“That one feels the most personal,” he shares. “It represents a real moment in my life and exactly how I felt at that time.”

More than anything, Lucasraps hopes Y.O.G allows listeners to experience different sides of his artistry -the confidence, the reflection, the playfulness, and the honesty that shape the project.

“I want people to feel something real when t hear it,” he says. “Whether it’s the confidence, the fun moments, or the personal songs, I just want the music to connect.”
