Apple Music Announces Messiah4L As The Latest Up Next Artist In Ghana

Apple Music today announces Ghanaian singer-songwriter Messiah4L as the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in Ghana.

“Being selected for the Up Next campaign is a huge honour. It means the world to represent Ghana on this kind of platform. To my fans across the continent, thank you for believing in me. 2025 is going to be a big year. Expect bolder sounds, deeper stories, and music that connects us all,” Messiah4L tells Apple Music.

Messiah4L has been making waves in Ghana’s music scene with his debut EP You Ate Me, a darkly romantic exploration of love, desire, and surrender. The project blends Afro Soul, Drill, and global sounds to craft a soundscape that is both immersive and emotionally resonant. With tracks like “Dear Kana,” “Hard to Love,” and “Faded,” Messiah4L explores romance as something intensely consuming—pleasurable, overwhelming, and dangerously beautiful—while his storytelling and sonic experimentation push the boundaries of modern love and emotional expression.

At the heart of You Ate Me is a haunting metaphor: the female muse as a vampire of love. She doesn’t drain blood but rather captivates the heart, time, and world of her willing lover. Through tender vocals, moody production, and poetic vulnerability, Messiah4L captures the complexity of passion, seduction, and surrender, establishing himself as one of Ghana’s most compelling new voices.

As the latest Up Next act to be spotlighted in Ghana, Messiah4L will be featured on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist https://apple.co/3eITdJd. The curated Up Next playlist features a dynamic class of new and emerging artists, thoughtfully hand-picked by Apple Music editors from around the world. The playlist is genre-agnostic and represents a line-up of artists our global editors are passionate about and eager to expose to a larger audience.
