Apple Music Announces CupidSzn as the Latest Up Next Artist in Nigeria

Apple Music today announces Nigerian singer-songwriter CupidSzn as the latest artist to be featured in its Up Next artist development program in Nigeria.

“Being selected for the Up Next Campaign means a lot to me,” CupidSzn tells Apple Music. “It’s a reminder that the vision is resonating and the journey is just beginning. My fans can expect more artistry and storytelling. We’re not just making music anymore, we’re shaping the sound of Afrobeats.”

Born Stevenson Njoku Anyinachiso in Port Harcourt, CupidSzn has rapidly emerged as one of Nigeria’s most exciting new voices. Signed to Mavin Global, his debut EP “Mythera” has introduced listeners to a sonic world where myth and melody intertwine. With standout tracks like “Palava”, “Super”, “Zesty Money”, and “Famous”, CupidSzn blends hypnotic melodies, lush instrumentals, and introspective storytelling, crafting a debut that’s as ambitious as it is infectious.

From discovering music through a Juice WRLD video to self-teaching himself Afrobeats on apps like BandLab, CupidSzn’s journey is one defined by passion and perseverance. Supported by his family, he moved to Lagos to pursue his dreams, quickly amassing over 10 million career streams and securing a deal with Africa’s leading entertainment company. With the launch of “Mythera” and now his recognition as Apple Music’s Up Next artist in Nigeria, CupidSzn is poised to make a lasting mark on the global Afrobeats landscape.

As the latest Up Next act to be spotlighted in Nigeria, CupidSzn will be featured on Apple Music’s Up Next playlist: https://apple.co/3eITdJd. The curated Up Next playlist features a dynamic class of new and emerging artists, thoughtfully hand-picked by Apple Music editors from around the world.
