Home of much-loved cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants, Nickelodeon (DStv 305) is expanding its availability across DStv packages during the winter school holidays.

As part of the DStv open window, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr (DStv 307) and NickToons (DStv 308) will be available to DStv access subscribers from Saturday, 26 June, until Sunday, 9 July.

“By bringing Nickelodeon’s beloved shows, including the SpongeBob SquarePants: isiZulu series to more families, we hope to create memorable moments and provide a diverse range of programming that resonates with our young viewers,” Paramount Africa vice president for Nickelodeon, Comedy Centre and Creative Service Dillon Khan said. “We are excited about this opportunity to bring more laugher and great youth programming to households across Mzansi.”

Other shows young viewers can look forward to are Young Dylan, The Twisted Timeline of Sammy & Raj, Bossy Bear, and Alvin!!! And the Chipmunks, Lego City Adventures, Rugrats and Santiago of the Seas.

Our aim is to make quality entertainment more accessible to South African households, fostering laughter, inspiration and storytelling in every home,” MultiChoice general entertainment executive head Georginah Machiridza said.

Earlier in the week, the first episode of Mzansi Magic’s (DStv 161) Shaka iLembe was aired on Mzansi Wethu (DStv 163) to allow DStv Access subscribers to judge the show for themselves and decide if they wanted to upgrade their viewing packages.
